Parks and Countryside sites host hundreds of events every year, these include:
- Community galas and festivals that are often organised by local volunteers
- Popular and classical music concerts like ‘Party in the Park’ and ‘Opera in the Park’
- Cultural events such as the Leeds Caribbean carnival and Reggae concert in Potternewton Park and the Asian Mela in Roundhay Park.
- Fun fairs and circuses.
All these events are facilitated by Parks and Countryside’s Bookings and Licensing team, who work closely with community groups and event organisers to bring a diverse range of new, fun and exciting events to parks.
