We hold Book Clubs in libraries for children, young people and families.

If you like reading, taking part in activities, making new friends and having fun then Book Clubs are for you. We have authors and performers who visit groups too; there are several book clubs in libraries across the city:
All the groups are free to attend.

Bookbugs
Bookbugs groups are for children aged 5 to 7 years. Come along for a fun session of stories, games and crafts.

Chatterbooks
Chatterbooks groups are for children aged 7 to 11 years. Come along for a fun session of stories and activities.

Family Readers Groups
Family Readers Groups are for families, particularly suited for families with children under 7. Families can share stories, sing songs, play games, have fun and take part in activities.

Teen Readers
Teen readers groups are for young people aged 11 years+. Come along and chat about books and meet new friends.

We also run comics groups for young people where people can create their own comics, Chattix, a magazine club for children and a gaming group. Also SaturDads, a club for Dads, Step dads, Grandads, Uncles and male carers.
