Personal shopper

a bag with a picture of Leeds markets and the words Personal shopper on

Personal Shopper sets up stall in Leeds Kirkgate Market to explore the relationships between people and shopping, and to celebrate places that offer the opposite of the de-personalised unexpected item in bagging area experience of 21st century supermarkets. Katie Etheridge & Simon Persighetti invite you to guide them through the market to help create a collection of reusable personal shopping bags inspired by the network of relationships between goods, shoppers and traders at Kirkgate Market.

For the opportunity to be a personal shopper, and have a bag created especially for you, there are some limited advance slots you can sign up for, or you can drop in to Unit 8, Row A at the bottom of Fishmongers Row on Friday 21 November.

If you get to be a Personal Shopper, you will be invited to take the artists to meet & photograph your favourite stall, face or place in the market. Back at the Personal Shopper stall, these images will be printed onto reusable personal shopping bags, o be exhibited, gifted, traded & brought back to the market week after week. You will be able to collect your free bag on Saturday 22 November.

Slots are available on on Friday 21st November 2014, every 30 mins between 10am - 4pm. Please email Lisa Brook at info@compassliveart.org.uk with your name, contact number and preferred time slot to book.
