MARKS IN TIME LIVE: AFTER HOURS

Thursday 14th May 2015

6.30-9.30pm

SEE THE M&S STORY COME TO LIFE BEFORE YOUR EYES AT LEEDS KIRKGATE MARKET

As part of Museums at Night 2015, M&S is returning to its roots for an innovative one-off event.

Join us at Leeds Kirkgate market, where Michael Marks set up his first Penny Bazaar stall in 1884. Against the backdrop of the historic indoor market, ghosts of M&S past will return for the evening to tell their fascinating stories of over 130 years of Marks & Spencer history.

Meet M&S founder Michael Marks; Esther Brown, one of the first female assistants on the penny bazaar stalls; Russian heiress, Flora Solomon who pioneered staff welfare and the man who transformed his father's penny bazaar business into one of today’s best loved retailers - Simon Marks.

Drop in anytime between 6.30 and 9.30pm for:
