You can get more out of Leeds with a LeedsCard from Leeds City Council.
If you plan to use any of the council’s sport and leisure facilities, visitor attractions, museums and concert halls then you can save money with a LeedsCard. And across the city you can use your LeedsCard to get discounts and offers at shops, theatres, attractions and restaurants.
Leeds sports and leisure centres offer discounts and priority bookings all year round if you have a LeedsCard:
- Discounts on activities and classes including swimming, Bodyline gym, aerobics, fitness, badminton, tennis, squash, indoor bowls, saunas and more!
- Get in first with 8 day advance session bookings only with a LeedsCard.
Call or drop in at your local centre for details. You will need to show your LeedsCard to get your discounts and special offers. If you book by telephone, please have your LeedsCard number handy.
Who can get a LeedsCard?
- LeedsCard standard available to anyone,
- LeedsCard 60 available to anyone 60 or over,
- LeedsCard Extra and LeedsCard 60 Extra for people who live in Leeds and receive income or disability benefits.
How much does it cost?
Standard – £7.50 per year,
LeedsCard Extra - £2 per year,
LeedsCard 60 and LeedsCard 60 Extra - £2 while the scheme is running.
How to apply
You can renew your Leedscard Online if you have a card showing a prefix of 'LC' before your 8 digit member number and you are under the 60 at the time of application.
You can download an application form from here and hand this in at any Leeds City Council leisure centre or a main Leeds library. You will need to supply a recent passport photograph and if you claim any of the benefits listed on the form proof of one along with proof of address.
Or you can visit the LeedsCard office at The One Stop Centre, 2 Great George Street in the centre of Leeds where you can have your photo taken for your card free of charge. The opening hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4pm and Friday 9.30am to 4pm.
