A market for today in an ancient setting! 

Join us at our monthly market (from March to November) in the picturesque 12th century ruins of Kirkstall Abbey.  Have the chance to buy good quality food and local goods, from local and northern producers and suppliers.

The market runs on the last Saturday of the month from 12 noon – 3pm until the end of November.  Follow us on Twitter at @kirkstalldeli. 

Our dates for 2012 are 31st March, 28th April, 26th May, 30th June, 28th July, 25th August, 29th September, 27th October and 24th November (all 12pm to 3pm).

  • Latitude Wine - Leeds' independent wine and liquor merchant: purveyor of an extensive range of unique, boutique products
  • Swillington Organic Farm - high quality free range and organic meats
  • Church View Eggs
  • Fish& - Fish and chips with a twist!
  • Boutique (who run the Gatehouse Café at Abbey House Museum) – teas and coffees
  • Dough Bistro/Deli - go local with this award winning bistro/deli from up the road
  • Blue Pig Company; based near Settle in the Yorkshire Dales and produce a wide range of products including pork, gammon sausages bacon etc
  • Yorkshire Dales Real Food 
  • Thistle Mist Farm - Husband and Wife run Leeds company, selling high quality soups and cooking sauces
  • Vanessa’s Jams and Preserves
  • Fayre by Alley; nanaimo bars, a unique Canadian sweet treat (made locally)
  • Cakepops - Mouthwatering cake treats - great taste, great fun!
  • Hebden Seafoods of Whitby
  • Fancy That from Wharfedale - offer you a vibrant choice of handmade artisan fruit and vegetable preserves
  • The Parsnipship - produces and sells unique and original Vegetarian food, sold direct - primarily at Farmers' Markets
  • Granny B’s Farmhouse Kitchen - family business making a wide range bread and cakes
  • Kirkstall Allotments (selling surplus fruit and veg from local allotments)
  • Yorkshire Orchards - to meet all of your apple needs!
  • East End Nurseries of Hull - Strawberries and cream anyone?
  • The Tea Experience - offering a selection of Flowering Tea Blooms, Teas and Teaware
  • Carl Denning Toasties
  • Deli Stop – Meats, Cheese, Oils and Pasta from this Horsforth based Delicatessen
  • Blueberry Bakery of Pudsey - family run bakery in Pudsey specialising in cakes
  • Battye's Water Buffalo Meat
  • Tracy's Homemade cakes and savouries - Made in Meanwood
  • Box Pizza - great tasting deliciously fresh homemade pizzas
  • Cryer & Stott - Yorkshire family Cheese Mongers who are passionate about supporting local cheesemakers and producers, focussing on the provenance of Yorkshire produce and supporting small producers.
  • Yorkshire Chorizo - brought to you by Chris Wildman who runs www.paganum.co.uk which is based in Kirkby Malham in the Yorkshire Dales.  Paganum is latin for 'rural tradition' and Chris is the latest in a long-line of Dales butchers going back over 5 generations.

In addition, the Kirkstall Valley Community Association and the West Yorkshire Police are often at the market with a crime prevention and neighbourhood watch stall.

Remember, there is free parking at Abbey House Museum and free entry to the Abbey Visitor Centre with toilets and baby change facilities.

Set up stall costs £15 per market and bring your own stall pitch costs £10 per market. All stallholders must provide details of their public and private liability insurance, and environmental health details where appropriate.
