SUMMER ACTIVITIES 2008!!!!

This is an exciting time at Kirkstall Abbey with something happening every day we are open! Each week of the summer has a different theme and each themed week has a variety of different activities for all the family to join in. 

Themed weeks are; Abbey History Week, The Natural Abbey, Romantic Ruins, Fresh Air in the City, The Sound of Music and Medieval Week.

Activities includes a birds of prey show, a bat walk, dressing up days, a mini beast safari, marshal art taster sessions, craft activities, a dog show, a drumming workshop, meet a monk, an artist in residence, giant games, a singing tour, face painting and The Clarence Household re-enactment society. 

Most activities are free, with a small charge for Child, Family and Adult Tours and the bat walk (£2.50 per person, no concessions)

Family Fun Afternoons at Kirkstall Abbey

Join us at Kirkstall Abbey Visitor Centre every Wednesday afternoon during the school holidays for fun craft activities for all the family. Admission to the Visitor Centre is free and there is no cost to take part in the activities.

Family Tours of Kirkstall Abbey

Special tours for families exploring life as a monk at Kirkstall Abbey. Tours are free and booking is essential.

Treasure Hunts at Kirkstall Abbey

On Fridays during the summer holidays, solve the clues hidden around the Abbey to win a prize.  Admission to the Visitor Centre is free and there is no cost to take part in the activities.
