Description : A 'garden-like' woodland containing a large number of different tree species which can be seen by strolling the Public Right of Way and numerous desire lines.

Upon entering The Hollies from Weetwood Lane, there is a formally planted area with native and exotic tree species. This is set alongside seating areas and open spaces.

Rhododendrons grow well in this woodland and in some places have reached great heights and when flowering (May to June) can be quite spectacular.

This is one of many wooded areas that form and lead into the Meanwood Valley.

Access and facilities : Parking is available near the access point off Weetwood Lane and pedestrian access is from Weetwood Mill Lane and remotely through Meanwood Valley Nature Reserve.
