Description : This is a mixed broadleaf plantation screening houses from a popular recreation ground.

The plantation was jointly created between BTCV and the Forest of Leeds (Leeds City Council) through the Wades Trustees Charities and with the aid of Woodlesford Primary School during early 1994.

The plantation is developing into a pleasant wooded corner, providing a valued wildlife habitat and additional landscape interest. In a few years time when they have had sufficient time to develop, the trees will also act as a screen for the residents from any noise created in the central recreation area.

Whilst using the recreation ground, the new screen will allow for the feeling of being further out in the countryside, although the grounds themselves are quite open and central to the estate.

The main tree species planted is cherry, although other species include alder, oak, birch, holly, hazel, hawthorn, blackthorn, ash, field maple and lime.

Access and facilities : Full public access to the recreation ground is available via All Saints Road and All Saints Drive. The recreation ground consists of a children's playground, a football pitch and open space (formally managed).
