East North East Homes Apprentices go from strength to strength …
The success of the ENEHL Construction Services Apprenticeship Scheme continues with the organisation recently awarded Apprenticeship Organisation of the Year – Changing the face of Leeds. Over the last 12 months ENEHL have created places for 17 apprenticeships and our work in helping people back into the workplace was recognised at the Leeds Apprenticeship Awards.
Raising the roof …
After 27 years Construction Services are expanding their in-house experience of Apprentices and have taken on Mark Broughton, age 17, a roofer from Moortown.
Its been a long time since any council has taken on and invested in roofing and rumour has it that the last known roofing apprentice from Leeds City Council is now Mark’s Tutor at Leeds College of Building.
Mark lives locally and since leaving school last June has been studying roofing at Leeds College of Building. Before starting with East North East Homes he was unable to gain any site experience, and had the prospect of leaving college without work experience.
