Household Enquiry Forms

We have sent household enquiry forms to households in Leeds asking you to check the details of people who are registered to vote at your address.

The household enquiry form is sent out on a regular basis as it provides us with information about who lives in your household. You need to respond to the household enquiry form even if you are already registered to vote.

No Changes

If there are no changes to any details listed on the household enquiry form you can respond onlinetelephone 0808 284 1450 or text  07786 209350 using the two part security code printed on your household enquiry form, please note security codes can only be used once. Alternatively you can sign and return the household enquiry form in the envelope provided.

To make changes

If someone is not included, they can register online. Please note that each applicant will need to enter their date of birth and national insurance number.

If you need to make any other changes to the details listed on the household enquiry form you can do this online  using the two part security code printed on your household enquiry form. Please note security codes can only be used once.

You can also make the changes on the form ensuring you complete and sign the declaration and return it in the envelope provided

​The electoral registration system has changed. Everyone is now responsible for registering themselves. Anyone whose name is not included in this letter should register online. They will need to enter their date of birth and National Insurance Number.

​You can let the Electoral Registration Officer know someone has moved out of the property by reporting it online. You will need to enter the security codes printed at the top of the letter or found in the email.​​

​Even if you have registered for Council Tax or Council services, you still need to apply to register. The registration system has changed so we are writing to every household to make sure everyone who is eligible is registered.

We may contact you by phone if you have not responded to the Household Enquiry Form. We will not ask for payment.  If you receive a call about voter registration or anonymous calls requesting payments relating to registration or electoral services please do not give out this information or engage with the caller, hang up the phone.

You may receive a visit from a door canvasser on behalf of Leeds City Council. This is normal practice but to ensure you are not giving details to bogus or unsolicited canvassers you should ask to see proof of identification.​​
