The Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the West Leeds Gateway covers the areas of Armley, Lower Wortley, Upper Wortley, New Wortley and the Heights. The SPD was adopted by the Council’s Executive Board on 13th October 2010 and has been prepared in consultation with local communities, businesses and local organisations to guide regeneration and the future development of the area.
Whilst the SPD does not allocate sites for development, it will inform both the emerging Core Strategy and the Site Allocations Development Plan Document, as well as complementing the existing adopted Unitary Development Plan Review (2006).
The West Leeds Gateway SPD has five cross-cutting themes:
