There are different forms depending on the type of application you are making and you may need to complete more than one. There are guidance notes for each type to assist you. Validation criteria are also provided for each application type which list what you need to submit with your application for it to be valid.
You can apply online through the Planning Portal. Please note that we do not accept applications on CD/DVD or by email.
The Portal enables you to:

- Identify the correct form and to complete the planning application form online
- Make your payment and attach your drawings and documents
- Buy site maps online
- Calculate the planning fee using the online fee calculator
- Pay for your application online if you choose
- You can choose to send the application online, or print your application to post to us.

You will need to submit the original plus 1 copy of the application form, plans or drawings and other information.

Most applications will also require a fee. You can use the fee calculator
to calculate the fees due or you can refer to the fee sheet
. If you apply online you can also pay the fee online. If not, please send a cheque made payable to Leeds City Council or ring us on 0113 2224409
