Information about working on elections

We are currently recruiting individuals to work as Electoral Registration Visiting Officers (ERVO’s). Please go to www.leeds.gov.uk/ERVO for more information about pay rates and how to apply.

If you are interested in working on an election in future, the following roles are available to apply for:

Please make sure you read the job description before you complete an application form (opens in Word 261KB).

If you have recently received an offer of appointment from us, the following documents are detailed in the appointment letter:

  • Bank/Building Society & Income Tax details form (Opens in Word 92.5KB) - Applicable to all staff – you still need to complete this even if you have previously provided these details. All payments for these elections must be made into a bank account. You must also complete the Tax Details section of this form
  • Statement of Secrecy (opens as a PDF 37KB) - applicable to all staff, so please read it.

If you are going to work on elections, you may wish to apply for a postal or proxy vote for yourself.​​​​​​​
