Building Regulations Energy Rating of Buildings

All new dwellings and conversion projects need a Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) Energy Rating to comply with current building regulations.   SAP is the Government's Standard Assessment Procedure for the energy rating of dwellings. It provides a simple means of estimating the energy efficiency performance of dwellings. SAP ratings are expressed on a scale of 1 to 100 the higher the number the better the rating.

To help you in achieving approval we offer a SAP assessment service for a nominal fee which is available to anyone and not just those who use Local Authority Building Control.  Should your design not comply with Part L of the building regulations, we will recommend what needs to be changed with your building to achieve compliance.
For information telephone (0113) 2478106 or email building.control@leeds.gov.uk.

Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and Level 4
Formal Code assessment of new dwellings can only be carried out by a qualified licensed and registered Code Assessor.  Leeds Building Control has a number of accredited "Code for Sustainable Homes " assessors and as such can produce both Design Stage and Pre Construction Stage assessments.  Please contact us for details.
