Authority Monitoring Report

The Authority Monitoring Report monitors the Leeds Local Plan.

We monitor planning policies as a statutory duty to check that these are having their intended effect and to make sure they are working for local communities. If any interventions are needed, these will be identified in the monitoring report.

Typically, the AMR is produced annually, although the latest report looks at the combined period of April 2019 – March 2021. This is a result of combined resourcing and staffing pressures across Planning Services as well as delays in some data being made available, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst every attempt has been made to ensure all data reported is up-to-date and covers this period, some data may have not been made available or which may have fell outside the period, which will be explained wherever appropriate within the report.
