Gallery Talks and Object Handling Sessions - Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (12:30pm and 3pm)

This is your chance to meet the specialists and find out more about the collections.  There will be a daily theme to the talks; Tuesday - Natural World, Wednesday - People and Culture, Thursday - Leeds History, Friday - Objects of Desire. 

A Greener City - Until December 2010 (Arena and Leeds Gallery)

A Greener City is a series of films and themed displays on the environment, healthy living, green space and conservation in and around communities in Leeds.

Leeds Philosophical and Literary Society Annual Science Fair - Sat, 20th March (11:00am to 4:00pm)

As part of National Science and Engineering Week, a number of local societies and organisations will be exhibiting their activities and there will be plenty of things to look at and do.

Leeds Geological Association (rocks and things), Association for Science Education (physics for all), British Dragonfly Society (all about these fascinating and beautiful creatures), Rodley Nature Reserve (a wild life haven near the city centre), Leeds Astronomical Society (stars, planets and whatever else is out there), Thackray Medical Museum (insights into the world of medicine), Leeds Microscopical Society (lots of microscopes to look through and tiny things to see), Leeds City Museum (geology and crystal gardens) and The Amazing World of Microbes (what bacteria mean to us).

Storytelling sessions that bring the collection to life.

Egg-citing Easter Trail! - Fri, 2nd April to Sun, 18th April (during opening hours)

Can you find all the birds' eggs hidden in the Museum displays?  Pick up a free trail from reception.

Egg-citing Easter Activities: Bonnet Bonanza! - 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th and 15th April (11:30am to 3:30pm)

Look at hats from the museum collection and make your own museum inspired Easter Bonnet.  Fun for all the family!  Drop-in.  Free.

Rory's Saturday Club - Sat, 24th April (11am to 12:15pm)

Arts and craft activities relating to the museum displays.  Fun for all the family!
