Safer Leeds

Domestic violence and abuse is a serious problem. It includes physical, emotional, sexual and financial abuse.

Physical signs such as injuries may be easier to recognise than the emotional forms of abuse.

Abusers may limit access to finance, social contact or what a person may do in order to have control over them. Children who witness domestic violence and abuse will be affected in many ways.

It’s important that those affected by domestic violence and abuse are supported to make their own decisions.

It is not the victim’s fault.
