Bright Young Things 2008 is brought to you by Leeds City Council's Arts and Regeneration Unit and has given fifteen Leeds based acts the opportunity to showcase their innovative and exciting music.

The journey for this year's Bright Young Things began with a judging panel of local music professionals who selected the bands and musicians, aged 25 and under, based on their originality, talent and potential. Successful musicians were then given a free photo shoot and studio time which has resulted in an extraordinary compilation of new music that will go out with The Leeds Guide (5th March).

The release of the CD will be celebrated with five fantastic live gigs featuring all this year's bands. BYT seeks to support young musicians in Leeds and create new and productive relationships within the music industry.
