A Big Family Day @ Leeds Art Gallery - 4 Feb : 10am – 4pm
Join us for a day of stimulating creative activities to enjoy experimenting and expressing yourself. Open to all ages, but particularly for families to have fun together. There will be things to do and think - inspired by Northern Art Prize artists and painter Gary Hume.
- SatARTday Club in Artspace - Run by Christabel and Andy, inviting you to make junk horizons inspired by Leo Fitzmaurice. A fun workshop for families to explore new art ideas and ways of making.
- Dress-up Paint in Artspace - Have fun painting clothing to celebrate International Women's Day.
- What is creativity? with Sally Boulton - idea cards and an opportunity to film your opinion will get you thinking.
- Inspired by James Hugonin explore alongside artist Joanne Byrne colour and rhythm and what 16mm celluloid film can do. You will end up making a living painting using your animation and drawing skills.
- Dress up and Paint! to celebrate International Women’s Day in March will get you thinking about painting in a new way. Please don’t wear your smart clothing.
- You are an object devised and run by Robert Sharples will challenge you to become an object and an artwork.

Picture Lending Scheme – Sat, 28th April (11am to 3pm)
