Playground
This free activity is linked to Gallery artworks, multisensory drop-in events for very young people to gain confidence in themselves as learners, explorers, discoverers and makers.
Activity areas with all sorts of art materials, books and things to do will stimulate creativity in exciting ways. Staff will be on hand to help everyone to have arty fun together. Stay for as long or as short as you like.

Being and Becoming
Available on request, this is an arts project that works collaboratively with agencies and groups to involve very young people in creativity and imagination within and outside of Leeds Art Gallery through our artworks.
When in the Gallery, a space set-up to provide direct experience of art can include our special mat, activity boxes and a range of interesting art materials. Gallery staff to inspire and share ways of working, a large Studio for especially messy arts work and access to specialist artists when funding allows are also resources within this project.
Being and Becoming has drawn with ice, danced in coloured stripes and told stories about ‘myself and ‘my world’. Meeting with art has given shape to ideas, feelings and memories and encouraged very young people and their carers to have fun and feel confident with art and galleries.
