 Maintaining your home and garden

When you sign your Tenancy Agreement, you have agreed to keep your home and gardens in an acceptable standard.  Maintaining your garden and hedges attached to your property is your responsibility and it is important that you do so to avoid incurring additional charges and possible eviction.

To help you understand what is expected, we have produced a Garden and Hedge Standard leaflet showing how front, rear and side gardens should be maintained.  You can download this leaflet from this page.

We do understand, however, that some people may not be able to maintain their gardens themselves for various reasons.  Support may be available so, if you are having difficulties, please call 0800 915 660 and ask to speak to your Tenancy Management Officer, who will be able to check if you are eligible for assistance.  There are also a number of local organisations that may be able to help and you can find their details in our standard leaflet.
