 Governance

Governance is the way an organisation is set up and run.  It is partly about procedures, policies, documents and management arrangements that are in place to administer and control the organisation, including its finances and delivery of services.  It is also about the organisation's relationships with its stakeholders and the aims and objectives of an organisation.

Our Board Governance includes:

  • Management Agreement
  • Code of Conduct
  • Memorandum of Association
  • Standing Orders
  • Financial Regulations
  • Annual Governance Statement

The AVHL Board have adopted the “The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) framework for Delivering Good Governance and best practice
