This group provides a full range of specialist traffic and transportation data collection, analysis and reporting services to all sections of the Development Department and other departments of the Council.
This involves the collection and analysis of traffic data (directly for Leeds and under contract to the other West Yorkshire Districts) for both local roads and under contract to the Department for Transport for data for the National Traffic Census. Bespoke traffic and travel surveys are also provided both for internal sections and for external organisations.
The group also co-ordinates input to the monitoring and evaluation processes set up for the Local Transport Plan with inputs from all the West Yorkshire Districts and Metro.
