Vehicle removal

If a vehicle is parked in a way that causes particular inconvenience for other road users (for example, obstructing an entrance or on a corner), the council will remove it.

If your vehicle has been removed, you will need to pay the following charges in order to get it back :

  • Penalty charge of  £25  (if paid within 14 days, £50 or £70 after 14 days)
  • Release charge of £105
  • Storage - £12 every 24 hours

So if you reclaim your vehicle within 24 hours it will cost £135, rising by £12 for each subsequent day.

Please contact the office on 0113 395 0050 if your vehicle has been removed. The office is open 8.30 am – 5 pm Monday - Friday. You will need to provide proof of ownership and proof of address before the vehicle is released.
