A new, quick and easy way for cashless parking - all by mobile phone
Leeds City Council has joined up with Parkmobile to offer drivers an alternative to paying with cash in the city centre and Otley car parks.
Parkmobile allows you to pay with your debit card for your parking.
It’s never been easier, join Parkmobile and you can just park, phone and go! You don’t need cash; all you need is your mobile phone.
Simply park your car, make a short call* to activate your parking; you don’t have to predict how long you need to park for, just make another call to end your parking transaction when you leave. You can even set up a text alert to remind you to deactivate your parking.
Maximum choice and flexibility
You can choose to pay a membership fee of £1 per month or a surcharge of 20p on top of each parking transaction. The great thing is that once you have joined Parkmobile, you can also enjoy the benefits this service has to offer at other areas where we operate. At the moment, these are in Putney, Battersea Park, Andover and Fleet stations and Orpington.
Easy to join
It costs nothing to join. To start using this convenient system, first complete a simple registration online or by calling 0871 288 3203. It only takes a few minutes. All you need is:
- Your mobile number;
- Your car registration number;
- Your credit or debit card details.
Instant usage
Once registered, you can start using the system instantly. The traffic wardens will verify if your parking is activated by checking your vehicle registration number.
Call 0871 288 3203* to activate and deactivate your parking.
* Mobile calls are charged by mobile phone provider. The charges vary according to network operator and customer contract. A typical call to activate a parking transaction should take less than 30 seconds, and less than 15 to deactivate.
Online personal pages
Parkmobile will also set up a personal web page for you where you can view your parking history, invoices, set up text alerts and receive other useful information.

There are eleven cashless parking locations in the city centre:

- Beckett Street (opposite St James Hospital)

- Quarry Hill
- The Markets
- Kirkgate (Maude Street)
- Meadow Lane
- Hunslet Lane
In Otley there are there are three car parks providing cashless parking:
- Beech Hill
- Courthouse Street
- The Lix/ North Parade
