Gateways to the countryside of Leeds

View of park in autumn

Leeds Leisure Services has published a guide book of walks called Gateways to the Countryside of Leeds.

Written with the help of disabled people, this book describes 20 accessible walks in the parks and countryside of Leeds.

Symbols are used to show the facilities available, bus services are marked and phone numbers are given where electric scooters can be booked in advance. The book is illustrated in full colour with photographs, drawings and simple maps.

The book should be available for you to borrow from your local library.

For an example of a walk follow the link to Surprise View at Otley Chevin. Surprise View is one of the finest panoramic views in Yorkshire, with views of up to 60km.
