Striker
Striker 5 football leagues and our internationally renowned Striker 9 skill training programmes are offered across the city at Leeds City Council leisure centres.

Striker 5 Football Leagues
Striker 5 is the ultimate 5-a-side football experience offered by Leeds City Council. As the largest provider of 5-a-side pitches in Leeds we offer facilities across the city from local leisure centres to our flagship site at the John Charles Centre for Sport.
Our self-contained playing areas are all floodlit (if outdoors) and fitted with catch netting and kickboards. Changing and shower facilities are available at all our centres. Some also have bar areas where you can wind-down and analyse the match with the rest of the team.
Leagues currently run from six of our Leisure Centres, as listed below, for men and women of all levels of ability.
Once you’ve signed up to a league we do the rest of the work organising fixtures, results, equipment and FA qualified referees. Booking forms and league rules are available to download from this page.

Casual Bookings
To play on a more informal basis you can take advantage of our flexible booking system. Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance, or eight days if you have a Leedscard, by ringing the centre reception.
If you have a Leedscard, Breezecard, Bodyline card, induction card or corporate sport pass you can now also book online by clicking the link below.

Any cancellations should be made at least 24 hours before your booking or you may be required to pay a cancellation fee.

Striker 9
The Striker 9 awards scheme is the largest football skills training programme for young people in Leeds.
Our Internationally renowned training course helps girls and boys aged 5-16:
• Develop football skills
• Learn about rules, fitness, conduct and nutrition
• Become healthier and more active
Each letter of Striker represents a soccer skill, which you will work through at each level of the award scheme:
S - Shooting
T - Turning
R - Running with the ball
I - In and out dribbling
K - Keep ups / control
E - 'Ed the ball'
R - Right and left foot passing
When participants have passed each skill, they will progress onto the next award level. Levels go from 1 to 6 then bronze, silver and gold, with the ultimate aim of achieving the gold award.
New members also get a Striker 9 file to collect medals, certificates, and chart their goal achievements, which is updated on a regular basis with feedback from coaches.
