Leeds has a number of athletics clubs catering for track and field, road running, fell running and cross-country. Weekly community clubs for eight to 12 year olds provide links with junior athletics clubs in the city.
Leeds has two outdoor 400m synthetic eight lane tracks, based at John Charles centre for sport and Leeds Metropolitan University (Carnegie Campus). Both offer full jumping and throwing facilities and have a UKA track certificate for training and competition disciplines.
John Charles Centre for Sport also offers an indoor 75m synthetic six lane track with jumping and throwing facilities (including pole vault).

Coaching sessions for athletes with a learning disability, Tuesdays 6pm – 7pm (younger athletes) and 7pm -8pm (older athletes)

Wheelchair racing session – Thursday 7pm – 8pm

The Leeds Athletics Network co-ordinates the development of athletics throughout the city. The network is a partnership of clubs and other key partners within the city and covers key areas such as track and field, endurance (including race organisation), coach education, coach mentoring, coach development and equity.
