Leeds sportshall athletics challenge
In October 2009, Schools from across the whole of Leeds entered the Leeds Primary Schools Sports Hall Athletics Challenge. Competing in local heats organised by the 5 School Sports Partnerships, the schools fought through to their Partnership Final.

Wheelchair Racing Clinic receives support from Spinal Injuries Association
A wheelchair racing training clinic organised by LCC Sports Development and Leeds City Athletics Club has recently secured £5,500 from the Spinal Injuries Associations’ Rebuilding Lives Through Sport programme.

Leeds Playground to Podium Identifying Ability Day - Feb 2010
Leeds City Council in conjunction with the Leeds School Sport Partnerships recently held a successful multi sports event aimed at identifying talented young disabled athletes.  Funded by the Youth Sport Trust, the event sits as part of the wider Playground 2 Podium initiative being rolled out across the country, with the aim of spotting and developing potential elite athletes to represent Great Britain at future Paralympic Games.

Funding workshop for local sports clubs
Twenty adults from local clubs in the North West area of Leeds successfully  completed a RunningSports workshop organised by  Community Sport Officer  Louise Walker in partnership with Paul Senior Funding and Partnership Officer, West Yorkshire Sport and Trinity All Saints . The work shop was held at Trinity All Saints on Wednesday 2nd December 2009. Feedback from all candidates was that they would definitely  recommend the workshop to other clubs.
