The Leeds Country Way

Leeds Country Way maps

The Leeds Country Way is a 60 mile recreational footpath around Leeds and takes you along public rights of way through some of the beautiful and varied countryside our local area has to offer.

In the walking pack we have provided, the Leeds Country Way is split up into 4-6 mile sections, each end of which links to a bus or train route.  Treat each of these sections as an individual 2.5hr walk, or take on a few sections at a time ... you might even decide to take on the Leeds Country Way Challenge and complete the whole route over a number of weeks or months.

You can download a copy of the Leeds Country Way walking pack from this page. For bus and train information contact Metro on: (0113) 245 7676 between 7am and 10pm, or go to Metro's website where they have information directly linked to the Leeds Country Way route.

Leeds Countryside Walks

The Parks and Countryside Rangers are currently completing the Leeds Country Way through a series of fortnightly walks and you are very welcome to join us.  Please see the link to the right for information, email countrysiderangers@leeds.gov.uk or contact Dan Malster on (0113) 237 5268.
