Poster competition
Leeds City Museum and the Yorkshire Evening Post have teamed up for a great competition to celebrate the launch of the new Leeds City Museum!
Get creative and enter our ‘design a poster’ competition to be one of the very first visitors through the doors of the new Leeds City Museum on Saturday 13th September.
This fantastic competition offers five winners the exclusive, once-in-a lifetime opportunity to see the state-of-the-art museum first and have their hand imprints made into a commemorative plaque as a lasting piece of museum history.
Let your imagination run wild and design a poster for the new Museum. The competition is open to children and young people aged 3 - 14 years old and closes at 5pm on Thursday 4th September.
Perhaps you’ll choose one of the Museum’s star attractions such as the Leeds Tiger or Nesyamun, the Leeds Mummy for inspiration. Maybe something revealing all the treasures in Leeds City Museum will make the perfect picture or something that reflects the city of Leeds.
Anything goes! Your artwork just needs to be 2D and can be created using any media, pastels, pencils, felt-tip pens, collage etc. The choice is yours.
Once you’ve created your masterpiece, please send you entry to: Leeds City Museum – Launch Competition, The Promotions Dept, The Yorkshire Evening Post, PO Box 168, Wellington Street, Leeds, LS1 1RF.
Make sure you don’t forget to put your name, address, telephone number and age on the reverse.
The closing date is Thursday 4 September, 5pm.
