The Sonic City project is collecting and recording the stories and sounds of the landmark buildings and public spaces of Leeds - to find out what they mean to the people of this city and bring them to life through their voices and recordings. It's a unique opportunity for the people of Leeds to express their thoughts and feelings about their city and to have this documented for future generations.
The project is looking for different kinds of audio material for the Sonic City collection. As well as any recordings people may already have, we want people to share their personal recollections in the form of short anecdotes, memories and stories. From the ordinary to the extraordinary all are welcome and we believe that people of all ages, every community and all walks of life have something to say.
