The Studio12 workshop

Studio12 is an audio visual project providing a unique opportunity for people aged 16 – 30 in inner city Leeds to experiment with and apply creative talent using a wide range of new media.

The project is delivered by Leeds Library and Information Service and offers free access to a production studio, training, accredited qualifications and an Industry Panel of creative professionals working in design, music, digital video and media arts.

People taking part in Studio12 can work towards an accredited digital media qualification, based around the creation of a short animation/video and soundtrack. Studio12 events will showcase new work to live audiences in the city centre and to a global audience on the web.

You can find us on the first floor of the Central Library at the Studio12 workshop between the Music Library and the Art Library. The studio houses a wide range of new media facilities including a video editing suite, keyboards, digital imaging equipment, laptops and a variety of music and animation software packages.

We also have a touring studio to take out to youth groups, libraries and community centres in inner city Leeds.

The studio is looked after by Jamie Hutchison. Jamie delivers all Studio12 audio visual training courses, drop-in workshops and touring studio sessions.

Come along and meet us at a Studio12 drop in session.
