With an annual programme encompassing classical, jazz, world music, brass and folk, the award-winning Leeds International Concert Season is a feast for fans of all kinds of live music.

On Saturday evenings, the Victorian splendour of Leeds Town Hall provides the perfect backdrop to a dazzling array of world-class orchestras and soloists from St Petersburg to Baltimore, Vienna to Minnesota.  If swing is more your thing then the city’s landmark building also plays host to legends of jazz and world music.

Across the city, The Venue at Leeds College of Music offers a more intimate setting for a series of chamber recitals by internationally renowned performers.

Sunday afternoon concerts for children take place at The Carriageworks, featuring strange instruments, tall stories and wonderful tunes – the perfect introduction to live music on stage!

The great Yorkshire tradition of brass banding can be enjoyed at the biggest and best band series in the UK at Morley and Yeadon Town Halls and Pudsey Civic Hall, featuring all the top names, including Black Dyke, Grimethorpe and Brighouse and Rastrick.

Meanwhile free lunchtime concerts provide the perfect midday respite from city life. Monday lunchtimes at the Town Hall feature the Town Hall organ whilst Wednesday lunchtimes at Leeds College of music offer you the a chance to hear some of the best upcoming performers in the country, all for free!

Leeds International Concert Season also promotes FuseLeeds - the innovative biennial new music festival. Fuseleeds 09 will take place from 25 April - 2 May. The world famous Leeds Conductors Competition will take place from 30 June - 4 July .
