Storytimes and rhymetimes are aimed at pre-school children and their parents/carers. Held at your local library they last about 30 - 45 minutes and include a mixture of stories and rhymes designed to stimulate young children.

  • Introduce your baby/toddler to an exciting world of books, stories and rhymes
  • Help him/her develop listening and concentration skills
  • Meet and interact with children of a similar age
  • Share stories and rhymes with your child
  • Become aware of a wide variety of books suitable for sharing at home
  • Be able to get advice on books and reading from library staff
  • Have the chance to meet other parents and carers
