Parks and Countryside sites host hundreds of events and activities every year including:
- Community galas and festivals
- Farmers markets
- Popular and classical music concerts like ‘Party in the Park’ and ‘Opera in the Park’
- Sponsored walks
- Cultural events such as the Leeds Caribbean carnival and Reggae concert in Potternewton Park and the Asian Mela in Roundhay Park
- Fun fairs and circuses
- Regular fitness classes
All these events and activities are facilitated by Parks and Countryside’s Bookings and Licensing team, who work closely with community groups and event organisers to bring a diverse range of new, fun and exciting events to parks.

If you would like to book a park for an activity which may disrupt normal use of the site, you will need to contact the Bookings and Licensing team no later than 8 weeks before the event takes place.
