You can call in and see us at any council one stop centre in Leeds. You can also write or send an email to us - our contact details are at the top right of the page. If you prefer to contact us by phone we are available during normal working hours 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Interpreters
Call us on 0113 222 4404 and tell us (in English) your name, telephone number and the language you speak. We will call you back within one hour with an interpreter who speaks your language. You can also get help from an interpreter if you visit any council one stop centre.

Fair processing statement - council tax and benefits
This statement explains how we use any personal information we collect about you.
We will use the information you provide for the billing and collection of council tax and to process your claim for council tax and housing benefit. We have a duty to protect public funds that we administer, so we may also use information held about you for the prevention and detection of fraud and other lawful purposes. We may pass the information to other agencies or organisations which handle public funds, such as the Department for Work and Pensions, or Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, as allowed by law, including data matching exercises such as those led by the Audit Commission or in conjunction with third parties such as credit reference agencies.
We may check the information you have provided or information that someone else has given us about you against other information we already have.
We will not give information about you to anyone else or use information about you for other purposes unless the law allows us to.
