Leeds City Council services
The City Council works with its partner organisations to deliver sustainable development in Leeds by providing guidance on sustainable construction, advice to business development services, suppliers and contractors.
The "Passport to the Environment" was originally published in 2002 and was updated in 2006. This document provides guidance to contractors to help them manage and improve their environmental performance. The document aims to make firms more aware of the environmental impact of their actions and the way they work, for example their purchases and transport requirements.
We also provide planning services for Minerals & Waste and inspect areas of the city for contaminated land and encourage the development of brownfield sites where possible.
