New Bewerley in the limelight again

To add to the seven wins in the last year, New Bewerley Community School and Children's Centre wins Judges Special Award Inclusive Environment at the National RICS Awards held at The Dorchester, Park Lane in London on Friday the 19th October. The event was attended by Tony Scott and Richard Hawkins from The Strategic Design Alliance, Mick Leahy from Kier Northern and Patrick Wilkins, head teacher of New Bewerley. Hosted by Channel 4's Kevin McCloud, the prestigious RICS Awards shine a light on the greatness of building project, regardless of size, budget, grandeur or location. They celebrate the diversity of talent behind such projects – the property developers, engineers, planners, architects and surveyors and raise the profile of the vital contribution they make to our society.

New Bewerley Community School has been nominated again for the Most Innovative Development Plan by the Yorkshire’s Finest Property Awards 2007.

Central Library team wins Award For Excellence 2007 for Excellence in Customer Care

Barry McCarthy, team leader on the project joined four other award winners from the Development Department at the Civic Hall’s banqueting suite on Thursday 11th October. The awards acknowledged the positive responses in the form of the client satisfaction survey carried out by client services for the Tiled Halls in the Central Library.

The Strategic Design Alliance is nominated for Architectural Practice of the Year by Builder and Engineer Awards 2007  and Regeneration Awards 2007

The Strategic Design Alliance has been recognised as one of the finalist for Architectural Practice of the Year 2007. The nominations are due to the award winning schemes that the SDA have been involved in during the past three years. These include New Bewerley Community School, Hollybush Primary School, Merrion Gardens, Otley Library and Crawshaw Secondary School to name a few.

Week of celebrations show sky is the limit at new community school

New landmark libraries in North West Leeds
