Launch Event - Pic1

The Golden Triangle Partnership received funding in 2005 as part of the Housing Corporation’s Innovation and Good Practice Grant. The funding helps us to look at ways of streamlining and adopting good practice in relation to planning affordable housing.

We have used some of the grant to produce an Affordable Housing Good Practice manual - 'Delivering Affordable Housing through S106 Agreements'. The manual contains information and assistance to local authorities and Registered Social Landlords (RSL)  working in Golden Triangle area, and for all groups involved in affordable housing.

Copies of the following are available to download:

  • Full version of the Affordable Housing Good Practice manual
  • Executive summary - 'Making it work'
  • Speaker presentations from the launch event

What is The Golden Triangle?

The Golden Triangle Partnership is a partnership between Leeds City Council, Harrogate Borough Council and City of York Council. It is unique in that it crosses two regions – North and West Yorkshire. When we set up the Partnership in 2003 our membership only included housing and planning staff from the three councils. Since then we have extended it to include three housing association partners; Home Housing; Yorkshire Housing and Accent Housing.

The Housing Corporation and the Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber provide an advisory role to the partnership.
