This page aims to give you further information around the whole subject of Anti-Social Behaviour and how Leeds City Council, working with other teams and agencies is able to tackle this problem.

On the right of this page you will find links to explanations in response to a number of Frequently Asked Questions which we have received. These documents will be updated and reviewed in response to new requests received by the Anti-Social Behaviour Unit.

Below is an explanation of the abbreviations used

ASBO - Anti-Social Behaviour Order - a Civil court order designed to protect individuals from continued anti-social behaviour.

ABC - Acceptable Behaviour Contract (also sometimes known as Acceptable Behaviour Agreement or ABA) - a low-level intervention used to engage with individuals/groups with the intention of getting them to understand how their behaviour affects others.

DPPO - Designated Public Places Order - the power given to a Local Authority, such as Leeds City Council, to restrict street-drinking in a certain area(s) which may have experienced alcohol-related disorder or nuisance.
