Using equipment can help you stay more independent and safe in your home, but you may also wish to consider physical changes to your home to make it more suitable for your needs. These are called adaptations.
Adaptations include anything from an additional handrail to a shower instead of a bath, to provision of facilities on the ground floor.
To get adaptations to your home, call us on 0113 222 4401 to arrange a community care assessment. In the assessment, we will discuss the difficulties you are having and work together to assess your needs.
Cost of adaptations
Small adaptations, costing under £1,000, are free. There may be a contribution required for larger adaptations for people who are owner occupiers or who live in private rented property.
