All Health and Social Care organisations are required by the Department of Health to have a Research Governance Framework. Research Governance is concerned with ensuring the following
- People involved in research are valued and supported
- Research is consistent with the Department's duty of care
- Research is carried out to a high standard
- Research informs and improves our service delivery
Leeds Social Services has a board which governs research.
