Mental Health Services Consultation

What is the consultation about?

Over the coming months we are running a consultation shaping the future of mental health services in Leeds.

There are two parts to the consultation process:

  • From 18 July one-to-one review meetings will be carried out for a 12-week period with people who use council run day centres.
  • From Autumn 2011 a citywide consultation on community recovery services will take place.

We have a vision of community recovery services that can offer a wide range of options to support people with mental health problems to link to work, education, their local community and support networks, based on the principles of personalisation, tailoring support more closely to individuals’ needs.

Who is taking part in the consultation?

One-to-one review meetings will involve over 300 service users who use council run day centres. The citywide consultation in Autumn 2011 will involve a large number of people using Leeds mental health services.

Where can I find more information about the consultation?
