Help with domestic chores, shopping, repairs and home improvements
If you are assessed as being eligible for help with personal care, our Community Support Service can also help with day-to-day domestic tasks, such as shopping, preparing food, doing laundry and cleaning.
The Keeping House programme, sponsored by the council, offers a list of people who provide help with household chores and other domestic services in your local area.
Neighbourhood Network Schemes provide a range of local services and activities for older people across Leeds, including help with decorating, household chores and gardening.

The Care and Repair Home Improvement Agency can support you if you need repairs, improvements or adaptations to your home. They’ll help with building regulations and planning approval, advise on choosing a reliable builder and check if building work is up to scratch. They also offer a gardening and shopping service.

If you have difficulty preparing your own meals at home, you can have pre-prepared meals delivered to you.
