Help around the home
As we grow older, getting a helping hand around the house or support to go out to the shops can help us keep our independence and stay as active as possible.
So it’s important to be able to access local services which can help with things like cleaning, shopping, or gardening.
The Keeping House programme offers a list of people who provide these types of service in your local area. You can access the providers’ list or get a paper copy by ringing 0113 222 4401. It’s also available on the Keeping House website.
Keeping House helps to develop local organisations which provide domestic services. These are run as social enterprises – which means that although they charge for the work they do, they put any profit back into the business, for the benefit of the community and the people using the service. They are run by local people who know what is needed in their area.
If you are looking for a domestic service, see the citywide providers list on the right, or go to the providers list for your area, below.
For further help visit the Keeping House website, or contact them by email.
