Project overview 

A new centre is being built at Holt Park that will provide support for people of any age or ability, to live active lifestyles.  Whilst the new centre will eventually replace the existing leisure centre, the new facility will offer a much wider range of inclusive facilities where people can do activities, socialise and learn new skills.

The project is the result of a successful bid made by the Council for £30.6m of Government Private Finance Initiative credits (PFI) from the Department of Health. When it opens in autumn 2013 it will be provide a community hub for residents, leisure centre customers and those that access adult social care provision.

  • 6-multi-purpose rooms

  • 2-lounge areas with a garden

  • Accessible changing rooms (fulfilling Changing Places requirements)
