Introduction
This directory has been produced to help you identify and access housing related support services in Leeds. The services shown in the directory offer a variety of support, including
- Floating or visiting support
- Accommodation based services
- Sheltered services with a warden
- Community or social alarm services
- Help to live independently in your own home
- Help to make sure that your home is safe and secure
- Help looking after your home
- Help applying for benefits
- Help to manage your money
Housing related support services in Leeds are provided by a variety of organisations. These include the local authority, Registered Social Landlords, charities, voluntary agencies and private companies.
These organisations provide their services through contracts with the Leeds Supporting People Partnership. The Supporting People team is responsible for ensuring that services provided by these organisations are of a high quality and are good value for money.
How to use the Directory
To search for a service, select a client group that most fits the intended user of the service. For example, ‘Older people with support needs’. You can search for every service for that client group by clicking the ‘Search’ button.
You can also refine your search by selecting a postcode in which you would like to access services for the selected client group. Some services, particularly those offering floating support, provide their service in various areas. You may therefore see ‘various’ as an option in the postcode search for a particular client group.
For some client groups such as ‘Older people with support needs’, there are many services and you may need to use ‘Select area’ to refine your search. For some client groups there are only a few services – if you select the client group without a postcode, then all services for that client group will be displayed.
