In order to remain independent in your own home you may need assistance to take your prescribed medication as part of your care package. A new policy has been created and recognises that the type of assistance required may vary and that different care agencies or carer groups may have input into your care and hence your medications. It defines who can provide assistance with medication, what assistance they can provide and in what circumstances.
